Comissioned in 2021 as a collaboration between Manitobah Mukluks and The Shopping Channel, the beadwork design is intended to represent a flower in the middle of its blooming sequence - a flower in action. The action of blooming reminds us of rebirth and renewal, as well as regeneration and resurgence. It also symbolizes the natural cycles of Mother Earth and honours non-linear temporality. With the collection first released during the Covid-19 pandemic, the design's gesture also offers a feeling of hope and a sense of comfort that a new flower will always bloom.
