The Beading Circle

The Beading Circle is an informal gathering space for Indigenous and non-Indigenous students, staff and faculty of Toronto Metropolitan University, as well as members of the greater Indigenous community across Turtle Island, to connect and foster relationships through the practice of beadwork. The circle prioritizes Indigenous community members and welcomes non-Indigenous allies into a shared space informed by principles of empathy, respect, reciprocity and consent. Our circles are currently being held virtually. Please see the Beading Circle's Instagram page for upcoming circle dates and registration information. New circle dates will be shared in September 2022.

The Beading Circle was founded in 2019 by Justine Woods, with the support of Anna Romanovska and Fashion at The Creative School
